Letizia - Stories of unseen lives is the photographic story of Garcia Danilo Di Meo, which won the Grand Prize at the prestigious Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest sponsored by UNESCO, and will be on display in Rome at the International House of Women from 6 to 11 December. The exhibition was also in Moscow, Istanbul, Cape Town and will soon be in Paris, Berlin and Cairo. Di Meo participated with Letizia in the Contest "100 Stories of Creativity" of Lazio, on the portal.
Letizia is a 32 year-old with spastic tetra paresis, but it is mostly a young woman who lives her life doing all that is possible and even more sometimes.
The story of Letizia is the story of a woman who faces his self-determining life, to build a better society for all.
Di Meo cathches through his pohotographies what the most distracted people don't see, in a country that still has to compare a lot of issues such as social and cultural inclusion and stereotypes that permeate the institutional culture and the municipality, gender bias, race, minorities and diversity.
The report will be enriched by various events sharing thoughts and emotions. On the opening day, December 6, there will be a performance dedicated to Frida Kahlo, curated by actress Alessandra Mosca Amapola.
On Sunday 11 the round table of Experiences of unseen lives will be hosted, with photographic shots made in the High Security section of Rebibbia feminine and at Tor Bella Monaca. The occasion will allow a synergy between the various realities that promote social change and work for the individual and collective identity redemption: the AMREF NGO, cooperatives Il Pungiglione and Befree, the Perugia Social Photo Fest, the Association Per Ananke.
Finally, again in the same day, Francesca Tricarico, actress and director, will offer her own interpretation of a short and intense reading closing this special journey through social photography.
