"One in a thousand" can do it, sang a few years ago Gianni Morandi. Hopefully the percentage gets up, especially for young people who shared their aspirations in 100 stories of creativity, the Lazio Creativo contest for artists under 35 of the Lazio Region.
For this year we can say that we have complied with the lyrics. Daniel Parisi told his stories and his aspirations in the 2015 edition. In summer 2016, Daniele has been awarded the IMAIE NEW TALENT AWARD for Best Emerging Actor for his performance in the movie 'Orecchie' by Alessandro Aronadio.
"A debut that perfectly matches the originality of Alessandro Aronadio's movie - says the jury. Playing a dazed character, reminiscent of the famous masks of silent movies, Daniele Parisi manages to make lose and find ourselves, just like that mysterious whistle in his ear that in the film recalls the reality".
"I have always worked in theater, and this is my debut in the cinema - Daniele says after receiving the award. I am very happy because receiving a prize for my debut was a dream come true ". "Comedians are benefactors of humanity" says the actor in our volume. He came to tragic comedy, as he calls it, in stages.
At 23, he enrolled at the Silvio D'Amico Academy to train as a dramatic actor. He graduated in 2008 and for four years worked as a contracted actor. He made a good living, but there was something missing. Not just independence, but really getting his hands dirty. The epiphany that “saved his life” came thanks to a period working with Paolo Rossi which showed Daniele that there was no time to waste. Thus was born Abbasso Daniele Parisi, a play he wrote, directs and performs.
Daniele learned about interacting with the public from children. One of his friends turned the bowling court of an agriturismo into a theatre where Daniele puts on shows for children. It is the creative gymnasium where he experiments with the “stage play" he later develops in his work “for adults”, because “only when you can entertain a child do you know that something works”.
Abbasso Daniele Parisi was selected for the Turin Fringe Festival. His second show Ab hoc et hab hac won the critics' award at Off Art – Isla de Margarita and MArtelive. Then the cinema, Venice and another award. Perhaps his turning point.
