Come un mare fuor d'acqua
"Come un mare fuor d'acqua" is a journey of research on the presence of traces of the aquatic universe in the urban dimension. The path is the third stage reached by the artist Anna Raimondo, within the program of Cantieri d'Arte residences / The villas ouverte by Marco Trulli.
In Viterbo, Raimondo has conducted a series of laboratory meetings with people detained at the Lazio's Casa Circondariale. At the same time, thanks to meetings with some young people in the area to reflect on the places where the echoes of the presence of the sea are most concentrated, a "water" path of the city has been mapped.
The residence ended with a final action in which the artist composed a radio program with the voices and melodies of the sea intonated by the detained people that was transmitted in a traveling way from Viterbo to the sea through a sound diffusion system walking.
Cantieri d'Arte is a platform for active Public Field Research on the field, aimed at developing projects aimed at investigating the theme of the art-city relationship and ethical re-utilization practices of public space. Contemporary art is the instrument of inquiry.
The project was born in Viterbo in 2005 but is still developing on the national and Mediterranean territory through a series of collaborations with the University of Tuscia, the Brera Academy, the National Arci and the Biennial Association of the Mediterranean (BJCEM).
