Completed in recent days, the first intervention by the Filipino artist Jerico Cabrera Carandangha involved the main facade of the Colasanti Superior Institute, in via Petrarca. The project is part of the "PUBBLICA" project, an urban art residence created by the Kill the Pig association, oriented towards the dynamics linked to the world of public art.

The project will be presented on February, 2nd at Civita Castellana at the Istituto I.S.G. Colasanti in Via Petrarca at 6.30 pm, a moment in which a small manual will be shown that preserves the memory of the artist's entire intervention in the city.

The monumental urban intervention is inspired by the constant research on possible coexistence between nature and man, and has been conceived as part of a wider and at the same time intimate artistic process. A journey that exceeds three months in which the artist was able to live and share the daily adventures of the entire community, translating events and suggestions through various pictorial studies, meetings with residents and educational activities designed for students.

An urban project as an instrument of a subtle research on content, form and environment that the artist has faced both in terms of composition, creating an important body of works consisting of about ten paintings, thirty preparatory studies and some modeled in clay, and below a more specific and private stylistic research, tracing a distinct path between the poetics of expressionism and the infinite possibilities of pictorial abstraction. An intense and fascinating experience that the artist wanted to tell in a dialogue between the canvas and the wall.
