A web portal connecting who offers and who seeks audiovisualproducts. The idea came from four youngsters: Antonio Le Fosse,Claudio Croccolo, Nicola Fiorentino and Filippo Mancini. Having won the public call for ideas of the Lazio Region, offering funding for cultural and creative startups, in October 2015 the startup “Ciaklist” was established with the aim of creating a website of the same name. The cinema industry has undergone a general decline and lost elasticity in recent times. New productions are mainly produced for the “majors”. Bearing this situation in mind, the platform is aimed at professionals living on the majors and at independent producers, who often never get close to the majors, attempting to meet two levels of very different needs. The former may be labelled as “insiders” and already have contacts and are a part of production and/or distribution groups. In view of the lack of interconnections among professionals working in the sector, “Ciaklist” offers to them the possibility to showcase their work, to “associate” contacts acquired over the years and quickly find what is needed to developa project. The latter ranges from occasional collaborators and technicians working on single projects to all freelancers working in production and post-production phases. These professional figures are often in a more vulnerable position. The platform seeks to bring them together by creating a production-oriented online community in which ideas find an extensive network of users ready and willing to support them and turn them into reality. “A lively and busy environment and the satisfaction of finally having the tools to fully develop one’s projects are stimuli for productions and automatically generate new work opportunities”.
A web portal to match supply and demand of audiovisual products, giving rise to a veritable crowdfunding.
