In Cannes an installation signed NONE
The Cannes Film Festival reaches its 70th edition this year. As part of the event, the Italian Pavilion will host a large, immersive and site-specific installation that will revive visitors with the magic of Cinecittà's boulevards. Like last year, the installation was made by the collective NONE, a group of artists based in Rome and active in experimentation between art, design and new technologies.
A dreamlike, surreal world, a factory without walls wrapped in a starry sky, between temporary architectures that show themselves to the wind, maps and holographic and volumetric projections on golden nets: this is The mirror of our nature - The brilliant side of us , title of the project realized by the artists with the coordination of Luce-Cinecittà, in collaboration with Anica and with the contribution of the Cinema General Direction, Ministry of Economic Development and Ice. The multimedia and immersive work aims to be a tribute to the protagonists of Italian cinema, from Totò, Alberto Sordi, Anna Magnani, Claudia Cardinale, Roberto Benigni, up to Luca Marinelli and Antonio Albanese.
Once again, technology is used to amplify reality, through sound and light effects, to evoke the world of the unconscious, of the inner life, of the dream: to realize the surreal.
