Campusband Musica & Matematica 2018
Campusband Musica & Matematica is the national competition dedicated to students who, besides engaging in the studio, also have a passion for music. The competition intends to reward those who demonstrate creative and technical skills that set the conditions for professional development. This third edition, of which Mogol, Mario Lavezzi and Franco Mussida are promoters, opens the doors to the interpreters.
Who can participate
The competition is aimed at the musical groups that have formed within Secondary Secondary Institutes and Universities throughout Italy (at least 30% of the group must be composed of students), the singer-songwriters and performers who attend the same courses school. The age of singer-songwriters and performers can not exceed 25 years.
Excursions admitted to the competition
Competitors must send two tracks in mp3 format, one of which is edited and one unpublished. For the latter, if presented by a group, written by at least one of the components and for the performers by an author registered with the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers. Same condition applies to songwriters.
12 finalists will be selected by a committee of experts, 4 of the category groups, 4 of the songwriters category and 4 of the category of interpreters.
The 12 finalist contestants (4 bands, 4 songwriters and 4 performers) will perform during a great show. on the occasion of the celebrations of the end of the school year. A jury composed of people chosen from the public and members of the commission of experts will indicate the absolute winner of the competition and will award the critics' prizes. Successful artists will participate in the show as guests.
The winning competitor (band, songwriter or performer) will be entitled to a contract with a record label that will produce and publish a single with the two pieces presented in the competition and performed in the final. The video of the unpublished piece will also be made. The radio network that will support the review will assess the airing of the unpublished song. Advertising and promotional initiatives are also planned. Moreover, two scholarships will be offered for the critically acclaimed competitors, to be used to attend courses for musicians at the CPM in Milan or similar music schools in other regions. For the songwriters and performers, a scholarship will be reserved study at the CET (European Center of Tuscolano) school for composers, authors and performers.
Deadline and participation
Participation in the contest is free. Participants must send the demos through the official site of the event, no later than May 30, 2018. Each unpublished piece must be deposited at the SIAE and accompanied by the presentation sheet drawn up and the required materials.
