Latina Giovani Web Tv
The fourth Orange Dream project co-funded by the Lazio Region in the field of Youth Policies has been launched. This time the Latina Association chooses to carry out its project in its city in order not to break the path taken with young people and young people from Latina. Latina Giovani Web TV will be made entirely by young people, for young people and more.
The recipients of the initiative are, as always, the boys aged 14 to 35 residing throughout the Lazio Region who have or want to develop their passion for journalism, documentaries and the web. Internet shortens distances of space and time: it is the media of the present, web TV is the future, the means to transmit the real expression of the world of young people.
Fabio Fanelli as Project Director and founding member of the Orange Dream Association explains that the idea in 2016 was born from the need to create a space where young people could express and communicate their point of view through videos in a city that leaves little room for young people. "We believe that the new generations, especially the youngest from 14 to 20 years, have stories to tell and deeper values than those conveyed by traditional TV, you need to give them a serious alternative, giving space to those with passion and creativity want to tell something of self or of the world ".
From October 40 young people will go to form a real editorial staff composed by aspiring journalists, video operators and directors, each category will participate in preparatory workshops to their address with professionals from the sector also coming from Rai and Sky. A unique experience that will accompany them for two months, at the end of the workshops the editorial staff will get to work and develop real journalistic services, surveys and interviews on issues related to solidarity, culture, sport, legality, school, equal opportunities, politics, etc.
The project also stems from the belief that the management of a web TV has many positive implications. In the first place it is an opportunity for gathering, meeting and confrontation between young people from different territories and experiences, who have the opportunity to relate and play each one with their own creativity. Then it represents a stimulus to active participation, understood as taking care of the territory and what happens to it, to the facts and events of public life. Finally, as a means of informing young people, web TV can be a channel of communication, information and awareness that can spread positive contents and values. The initiative is totally free.
