We know that bees are hard-working and participating, organised into formations that allows the community’s needs to be shared. PlanBee, with the word Bee in its name, is the first Italian crowdfunding platform that is entirely dedicated to funding civic projects that are environmentally sustainable. On the website are shown the fund collection campaigns for works that are useful to the community and allow to improve cities and the quality of life of their inhabitants.
In this way urban regenerations programmes or the construction of parks, play areas and vegetable gardens, that have already gained permission from public administrations but are still blocked due to the lack of funds, can be finally realised thanks to PlanBee. Each project has a dedicated page on the platform, with video and photographic documentation. They all share the idea of common good. The model foresees that they are already ready to be carried out, with all the necessary permits and that they express social responsibility focused on the territory for restoring value to the community.
PlanBee has just collaborated, as part of the Energia per Fare (Power to Do) initiative, with Enel. The clients of the multinational could donate the points they had collected to help fund a specific project. 50,000 users took part, which was more than a success.
Here are some of the works carried out: in Rome, the upgrading of the Mura Aureliane park; in Nizza in Sicily, a therapeutic educational vegetable garden for autistic people. As always with PlanBee in the name of transparency and simplicity.
And recently it began a collaboration with Florence City Council, starting from the upgrading of its botanical gardens, il Giardino dei Semplici, the third in the world, after that a whirlwind had killed off several centuries-old plants.
