Alessandro Arrigo | The transparency of a ghost

As part of the Month of Photography events in Rome, the photographic project "The transparency of a ghost" of the artist Alessandro Arrigo explores the concept of the passage beyond the earthly life. The vital perception as a burst of energy ready to rejoin the universe as a spiritual evolution. A passage that makes us equal, without differences and consisting of everything that surrounds us. An energy that is as vital as the breath of the world. The black and white photographs push the viewer to see beyond, to recognize between the ascending and descending movement of the shadows, the tension of the earthly detachment towards an ancestral plane. Each photograph has a small text that accompanies it, making it become a story. The abstraction of Arrigo's photographs is an echo of the modernism of the early 1900s but with a point of view open to the future and to storytelling. His manipulation of light, of movement where the shapes of inanimate objects placed between the light source and the photosensitive paper come to life and fly or remain in the air create dreamlike images that recall his illustrations on paper.

The photographic exhibition will be inside the CulturTango space, founded and directed by Leonardo Felix Elias, Maestro, dancer and choreographer of Argentine tango with more than twenty years of international experience in theater, cinema and television. Former teacher at the Cultural Office of the Argentine Embassy in Italy.

Saturday 16 March, the day of the inauguration will be a guest to talk about strategic storytelling, Andrea Pugliese. Consultant and trainer in the field of experience planning and strategic storytelling. He collaborates in the creation of meaningful paths for immersive spaces and museums. Designs narratives for the enhancement of cultural heritage and territories. He is the author of novels, essays, collections of short stories, biographies.
