Don Giovanni performed in Amatrice
With a ban on 100,000 euros, the Lazio Region supports the development of live entertainment events dedicated to the municipalities of the earthquake area: "The idea is simple, President Zingaretti said, we need to support life, public works as well as the resumption of an economic and productive fabric that is heavily based on tourism and cultural life. "
"It is a wounded territory, a dispersed community - said the regional councilor for Culture Lidia Ravera - but art and entertainment can help find it."
That is why on July 8, the Opera House of Rome will bring to Amatrice, free of charge, a new set-up by Don Giovanni of Mozart with the OperaCamion, a tir whose trailer becomes a stage.
OperaCamion was born last year with the goal of bringing the opera off the theaters. This is a one-hour and 40-minute reduction of Mozart's masterpiece. The cast is made up of young artists, starting with the director, who had the original idea of a truck turned into a stage. The purpose, both modern and ancient, is to bring back the popular character of the work, the one with which it was born.
Don Giovanni's OperaCamion version is also curated for this year by director Fabio Cherstich with very young singers, actors and technicians, some from the "Fabbrica" Young Artist Program project of the Rome Opera House and with The participation of the Youth Orchestra of the Theater directed by Carlo Donadio and Roberto De Maio. The preparatory masters will be Alessandro Stefanelli and Edina Bak who will also make the continuation in orchestra. Scenes, costumes and videos will be edited by Gianluigi Toccafondo, the artist who signs the image of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
The work will also be featured in Alatri (July 11th), Frascati (July 13th) and Leonessa (July 15th).
